Occupational Safety-12 hour

This course was designed for employees working in warehouse/distribution facilities. Students are provided with an introduction into OSHA and a brief introduction to OSHA’s General Industry Standards, 29 CFR 1910.

Topics to be covered during this course, include:

Introduction to OSHA

Walking and Working Surfaces, Subpart D – including fall protection

Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection, Subparts E & L

Electrical, Subpart S

Personal Protective Equipment, Subpart I

Hazard Communication, Subpart Z

Machine Guarding, Subpart O

Ergonomics

Warehouse/Maintenance – Powered Industrial Lift Truck

Upon successful completion of this course, the students will have an understanding of OSHA and the importance of workplace safety. Students will receive a Powered Industrial Lift Truck Operator 4-hour completion certificate as well as the OS-12 certificate.

Who should attend: All employees who work in General Industry primarily focusing on warehouse and distribution facilities.
